-Titanic.did not have life boats for all the passengers. The lifeboats could accommodate only 1/3rd of the total passengers on board. -Most of the lifeboats were half empty.
-The passengers in the lifeboats were saved by a ship named Carpathia. Another ship, Californian passed by but did not pay attention.
-It is believed that Titanic collided with pack ice(ice separated from North Pole) and not iceberg.
-The band played cheerful music as the boat sank.
-As Titanic sank, a passenger freed several dogs from their kennels. One survivor remembers seeing dogs paddling in the icy water. Three dogs survived the sinking.
